Rip off - storage door lock failed for propane tank and flew open and destroyed. Order a new door $300+ $150 in freight charges.

Here is the rip- took to body shop to have painted $2,400. One door over $2,800 .replacement .

Seems excessive to me.

Any thought or comments!

First off, won't your coach insurance cover this?
I had to have Thor paint a replacement outside heater cover since the original cover was wrong and the coach was still under warranty. I shopped around in SE PA for a body shop to paint the small heater cover and they wanted $1K minimum. Thor said "no way" so they painted one to match my old cover. Thor might be willing to paint a new door if it was a lock failure result. The latches on the storage doors do suck as I've had issue with a few. If your coach is still under warranty and a latch failed, I would go after Thor.

That doesn't shock me. To color match the way they body paint these coaches would be a pretty expensive job. It may be worth a call to Thor Customer Care and/or your insurance company.
