2016 Miramar paint peeling at roof line

Love my RV, but just noticed paint peeling at roof line on passenger side. Is this common? How can I stop the peeling?

Paint Peeling

We are having the same problem. I noticed on a camping trip 2 months out of warranty. Thor says it is not their problem. On two different occasions Thor representatives said that the manufacturer of the the roof had recommended that Thor not paint that area. Since we purchased our RV in TN, I have filed a complaint with the TN Consumer Protection. No reply from them yet.

I will bring it to a dealer for warranty service. See what happens...

Was at my dealer yesterday. They took more pictures, and will be contacting THOR. Here's hoping.

Arrow

the reason why it is peeling is because paint does not adhere well, for the long term, to the TPO rubber roof surface. mine is doing the same in several places, mainly the front and rear ends.
I used the black 'silicone rubber' type spray[as seen on tv!] to 'repaint' these areas. I feel this will adhere and stay much longer, and better.

If you look at how your roof substrate is constructed, it is pulled over the top edges of the walls of the coach, several inches down the sides. If they did not paint this edge of the 'roof', the unit would then have a white stripe around the top edges, which we would probably also complain about... : )

While Thor provides you additional PAINT(probably in one of your cabinets) for these type of situations, I think the silicone rubber is a good replacement option, and they have different colors to match different situations as well...

Update

Shop refused to attempt to repair (did not want to touch the rubber roof), although Thor had pre-authorized repairs under warranty. Stuck with this now and it is getting worse, but hopefully we will see the peeling stop at the intersection between the sidewall and the roof

My Palazzo's roof has paint peeling around the edges. After a closer look, it is the paint that was sprayed over caulking. I guess I can live with it, but I hope it doesn't spread beyond the caulk.

The instructions in the link bandoor sent may work, but from my experience trying to paint TPO is like trying to paint teflon!!!

I also have paint peeling

My Tuscany XTE is just two years old and the paint is peeling off the roof line, just as I see in the pictures and discussion. Sounds like I have no hope.......did anyone get a satisfactory solution, even DIY? Thanks.

The body shop that repaired my partial paint job after a rear end collision, recommended that they use a urethane primer (the type they use on flexible car bumpers) along with a tinted urethane paint. They thought the single stage paint that Thor's paint contractor used would not bond well to the plastic beauty strips covering the screws or to the TPO roof. The other guy's insurance was paying so I went with their suggestion. It has only been a year but the paint seems to be holding up well.
