2017 30.2 awning issue

I’ve had no trouble with our awning however this morning one side started to release before the other. I immediately stopped. I went to free the stuck side and the entire awning unraveled. It is now in the out position. The motor is working but it will not retract. Wondering if there is a cable or hook somewhere that has come undone? Anyone familiar with us?

Quick update. It seems the forward arm which contains the motor is janky and does not have a good setting of the rod into that female connector. In other words the motor is spinning but the rod is not catching. I was able to persuade it in but again it’s pretty janky and loose. Worst case is I have to get on the ladder to make sure that rod is sitting properly but seeing if anyone has seen this?

I have the same awning but I have had no issues. Probably be sure the motor and gear is engaged...the motor isn’t loose or the gear didn’t slip on the shaft. Small set screw on the gear is tight.

Thanks. I was able to reseat the year and the shaft. I didn’t think to look for a set screw. Is it easily found? I will look for it. Thanks again. KKV
