Furnace/Heat pump question

I have a 2021 Thor Delano that uses the rapid camp+ controller. When I run the furnace do I need to run the heat pump function as well?
Thank

No, the heat pump is part of the A/C system, the furnace is a separate system and the only thing that will keep you warm below about 45 degrees.

Thanks for your response. So when I turn on the AC it gets cold. When would I use the heat pump function?
Thanks

Don't turn on the A/C - turn on the heat pump - it will operate the A/C "in reverse" to heat the coach with warm air. As I said, it's only good down to about 45 degrees outside.

We use our heat pump when traveling with the generator running, I don’t trust using the furnace when moving, also we use the heat pump when at campgrounds to save on propane but like everyone said only works good above 40 degrees outside.
