2017 Thor Vegas LP Sending Unit Question

Just purchased a 2017 Thor Vegas 25.3 with an Armebe LP tank. Someone evidently removed the sending unit from the LP tank over time. The wires are there but there is no sending unit present to connect them to. I found this picture online of a set up that is very similar to mine and where this system has a gauge with a sensor wire connection mine just has a pipe plug in the threaded hole.

Can someone please advise on where to get this part? I called KIB who made the monitoring panel and they said they don't make the sender and to call Thor. I called Thor and they just said to take it to a servicing dealer. Armebe does not appear to be an easy company for the consumer to contact. I found a Manchester tank sender that looks very similar but since I believe the pipe plug was installed in place of what was originally there I don't believe it would work properly based on the photos of it I have seen.

If someone could please direct me so I can get the part(s) ordered and replaced to allow the monitoring panel to function I would greatly appreciate it!

So you don't have a local gauge either?

Someone pulled the gauge and replaced it with a plug?

If that's the case you need to purchase a level indicator with float first and then get the remote clip-on sending unit. This sounds like a job for your local propane tank dealer.

No, it appears to be just an ordinary pipe plug where the sender connected. The side of the plug facing out is just flat, nothing to connect anything to.I like doing my own maintenance but may be limited with this situation. Seems like it would be very similar to replacing the fuel tank sender since both work on resistance but I am not speaking from experience when it comes to LP.

I appreciate the intelligence and advise!

The gauge goes over that plug. It just snaps on. I had the same problem when I purchased mine. Picked one up on ebay and wired it in.

Any LP dealer can supply that gauge. If there is just a pipe plug then you need more than just the magnetic sender. You also need the internal float that drives the magnetic sender. I would go to an LP dealer and have them replace it for you as it requires venting before installing the float and sender as well as purging all of the air afterwards.
