2018 ACE Door Lock

Have had our ACE 30.4 for just a month, the door lock is junk, very hard to lock and unlock must push hard if you are outside or pull like crazy if you are inside to get the door locked or unlocked. Read horror stories of folks getting lock in or out. Suggestions or fixes. Are there better locks I can order?
Thanks Curt

Amazon:

AP Products 013-531 Electric Motor Home Lock

10 minute install and better quality so far. My factory lock broke and I was lucky someone was inside. I climbed into the bedroom and was able to remove the lock from the inside. Otherwise a locksmith would have been required. I would also recommend changing the locks on all the storage compartments.

You may try adjusting the striker plate on the door jamb. I adjusted mine out as far as it would go and it still had some hard latching as you mentioned. I hit it with a hand grinder so the bolt and latch would have more clearance and now it is smooth as butter. Installed a new lock recently to replace the one that locks you out or in and that helped also.
Replaced it with a Bauer BP-12RV.
