2018 Passport Slide motor leaking oil

We are kind of new to RVing. We have a 2018 Passport 25RL. It just went off warranty 5 weeks ago. While blowing off the top of the slide, I noticed a bubble in the material on top of the slide out. Closer inspection I noticed the material is bubbled up, soft and oily. When I retracted the slide and looked inside the spot is right under the motor over the slide.
Is this motor going bad? Will it have to be replaced? You think it would be covered under warranty since it has to have been going on for some time? Will I need to repair the oily spot in the material? Any help would be appreciated…thanks

I will try and get pic's today. It's in covered storage and I need to go over and work on a few items.

Well, I don’t have your model but unless the bubble is large and obviously deteriorated (ie, the integrity of the material is in question) I’d guess you are ok. Just keep an eye on it. Motors don’t typically have much oil to leak and I’ve not heard of this issue before. So long as the slide behaves normally and it doesn’t get worse, of course.
