2018 Thor Challenger FH Generator

I am 100% new to RVing...Is it possible/okay to run the generator when the key is not in the ignition?

Definitely okay to run the generator when the key is not in the ignition. Think of it as a another power source that does not tie in to the ignition.

Ignition key has no bearing on the generator. Run it when needed and run it under load every month for exercise.
