City water inlet replacement

My city water connection has plastic threads, which have stripped out, so it leaks and the hose doesn't always stay attached. It looks like the one in the photo.


I see that there are some that have brass connections, so it seems like these would be more reliable, like this one.

Has anyone here replaced theirs? Would there be any issues with switching to the brass one?

Replacement is relatively easy and doesn't matter if you use a plastic or brass threaded one.

I replaced the one on my GFs 5th wheel. Got the brass one since I figured it would be more durable and last longer. Straightforward installation.
