Propane Line

Not sure if anyone else has had this issue, but my mind was blown when I realized how the line was ran.

Some engineer approved that. That is a disaster waiting to happen.

Thankfully we noticed the leak and was able to plug it at the manifold. It was an accessory line thank god

As opposed to what? All lines downstream of the regulator are low pressure lines unless you have a propane generator, in which case it would be fed by a high pressure line.

Water heater, furnace, refer, range
Since I was able to plug it at the manifold I just had to cut the line out as opposed to find a new one..

Thank you for the high pressure propane lesson though

If you wish to go further in making sure nothing happens if a line breaks, I installed one of these. Now some (and we know who) will say the regulator at the tank will shut the gas off if there is a big leak. (NOT). It will only slow it down, It does not shut it off completely.

I listed two types. Not sure what RV you have.

Thanks for the recommendation, wouldn’t hurt since the line is exposed!

Wow! I had two of them and both eventually leaked. Thankfully I smelt strong gas on one and heard the hiss and smell on the other. I will never get another one.
