Remove before flight - tip
Over the years I have added some "features" to my rig that get installed after I get set up. Over the years my memory of what I did during set up has also gotten fuzzy especially when in a hurry to break camp. So, I purchased some "Remove before flight" key chains and attached them to each "feature". They are easy to see when I do the walk around as I break camp. In addition, I have numbered them so I know 5 "features" were added at set up so I should have 5 at break down. These have saved my bacon more than once.

Great idea!
But I got my Missus a Tee-shirt that says that.
It saves me a lot of time trying to figure out what mood she's in..,

I just put those Camco flags in my Amazon cart! Camping World total is $23.60 and Amazon is $18.60 (with a Prime account).

I always due a pre-trip walk around before I pull out of the site or driveway.
I do another after hooking up the toad. There are only four sides to look at so I see no value in those kind of reminders. I believe they are like many gadjets sold to hobbyists. Their only real function is to transfer our dollars to the sellers pockets.

That's true: there's only four sides...
But since the memory is the second thing to go (and I've already forgotten what the first was! ): anything that can help is useful.

I agree they are not for everyone. They do come in handy in certain situations. I have the "remove before flight" ones on items that are easy to overlook.
I put a wye on the campsite water hook up so I can run water into the coach and another hose outside with a backflow preventer. We recently had to bug out in moderate rain and it was a mess. I thought I was all packed and ready to go ... when I got in the cab I saw the red flag on the water hookup in the side mirror - I forgot to unhook the wye. Saved me a few buck that day.

Thanks TerryJames,
I just downloaded it and it opened up just fine. I will tailor it.
In 3.5 years of the RV life, I've/we've:
- Left the rear stabilizers down, fortunately it was very soft soil and no damage
- Left the toad parking brake on, only went about 5 feet
- Left the awning out, that big tree limb didn't move, ouch $$$.

We made a laminated checklist for arrival and departure. We use it faithfully every time. Saved my butt more than once and takes minimal time

I made a list from #1 to last, laminated it and hung by the control panel so I do all the right things in order when setting up and run backward when breaking camp..From leveling coach to antenna deployment......don't want to go down the road with tv antenna up in the breeze......done that b4...lol

Always setup and breakdown in the same steps. Repetition will help. Then have a final checklist above the visor to review as the last step. Simple.

Remove before flight - tip
For me it's very easy to get distracted by the numerous things that need to be done. So to help me a little I created a laminated "pre-flight checklist" on 81/2 11 card stock. Now the only thing I have to remember is to put the checklist on the seat of my Class C. The logic of putting on the seat every time I set up is I would have to move it out of the way ( or sit on it) in order to pull out of the campsite which will prompt me to go down the list to verify we're ready for departure..
As I add or delete items I redo the checklist.
This has worked great for me and my wife, but I'm sure everyone has their own methods to remind them of the many things that need to be done.

Pre flight bat
Wife had a rubber bat that was hung up on the TV antenna knob to remind us to lower the "batwing" before driving. New RV has fixed antenna, but we still have the bat.
We often hook up the toad the night before and bring the key back into the RV. I remind myself to put the key in the toad by leaving the keys on the drivers seat the night before departure.
