2019 Vegas 25.6 Engine Vibration
Hi all,
I've tried searching on "engine noise", and I see a flood of threads about generic engine noise dampening, but that isn't really the issue I'm having.
When driving at about 70MPH with no wind or driving into high wind as low as 45MPH, there is a very loud noise that comes from the engine compartment. The sound is as if something from the engine compartment is loose and gets pushed back into another component and is vibrating against it.
We had it in the shop for them to find a solution and they told us that they had used shop towels to isolate what was making the noise, then they fastened a bracket to hold the components in place. They tested everything and it worked. We tested it and everything seemed great, until we were returning from a camping trip today. I opened the hood to find a shop towel that had been dislodged from wherever the tech had placed it. Apparently, that's what had been preventing the sound, not the bracket.
I'm wondering if other owners have encountered this same issue.
Thanks in advance.
