The real question is out on a trip if the battery dies what will be the replacement cost and availability?

Replacement cost is prorated over the life of the warranty ( in case of battery above it is 4 years)
For me, IF ( and that is a big IF) my battery died while on the road, I would just want to ensure I could easily get one. @ $169, the warranty if it applies is really bonus at that juncture. In my case if the battery came with 5 year warranty it would not make much difference ($34) if it failed between 4 or 5 years.
I truly fail to understand how or why Thor has house batteries wired? They should not discharged due to parasitic draw, I know they do as it seems to be big complaint, but I failed to understand the design. When I go to Store mode, there is ZERO draw. I mean ZERO. I have never put a charger on my batteries. Just the alternator when running and Use mode when SP is plugged in.
But it is true that discharged batteries will suffer and early death if they are not already dead. Someone may question me, but I believe overcharging batteries may be the #1 cause of battery early failures. It may be the Self fulfilling prophecy in effect.
