2022 Tellaro batteries not charging

Took van on 4 hr trip with batteries st 88% and when we arrived at rv site batteries we’re not at 100% as they normally are on even a 1 hr trip. Plugged into shore and smelt weird odor and breaker at shore power source popped. Batteries went to 100 after 30 minutes. Since then th batteries won’t charge unless plugged into shore. Any idea what it is? Reset all breakers in house and reset relays on batteries.

Batteries Charging Again

Took van on 4 hr trip with batteries st 88% and when we arrived at rv site batteries we’re not at 100% as they normally are on even a 1 hr trip. Plugged into shore and power and Batteries went to 100 after 30 minutes. After leaving the batteries wouldn’t charge off alternator on 3 hr drive home.

Finally, checked fuse box and 15A fuse for left side of rv was blown, replaced it, and tested GFCI outlet on left side of rv. Lithium Batteries immediately began charging!

Strange that blown fuse or GFCI for DC stuff kept batteries from being charged, anyone smart on electricity know why?

Never heard of "GFCI for DC stuff". GFCI is for AC circuits.

The 15 amp fuse probably supplied control power for you interconnect solenoids that allow charging and prevent discharging.

Batteries Charging Again

Thanks, and duh..makes sense that the GFCI is only A/C so had to be blown fuse that prevented charging. Strange Thor doesn’t mention anything about losing ability to charge lithium batteries from 2nd engine alternator if you blow house fuse.
