24.1 Vegas Wipe Blades

Last week I decided to replace the worn out wiper blades on my RV. Wally World didn't have any TV8-32 blades so I went next door to the local NAPA dealer. He did a crossmatch and sold me a set of 32" heavy duty truck (RV) wiper blades.

Got home and found wipers too small for my 24.1 J-hooks. Took them back and the great NAPA guy did some "down and dirty" looking and discovered I needed some 12x4 J-Hook style wipers. Ordered a set and they came in this AM.

Happy to report NAPA 6-3255 Heavy Duty wiper blades fit out of the box. And even happier to report though they cost $6.50 more ($61.00/$54.50) than "standard fit" the NAPA-guy didn't charge me the extra.

Yes, the large J-Hook wipers must be made of gold, hence they’re $60+ per pair.

What some have done on this FORUM, is use a J-Hook Adapter
It’s an add-on that allows one to use standard auto wipers (you know...the one’s you can purchase at Costco for $4.99 each)

Thanks for info. Will save for future blade replacement. Going to run it through my local NAPA for their "education."

You might submit Ed for his next Vegas Manual update.

That is exactly what I have had for the past few years and works great with 28" wipers. I remove the wipers when RV is in storage and stow them inside where the FL sun can't get to them.

Speaking of wipers. I recently watched a video in which this guy recommended using a rag sprayed with WD40 on it and wiped the wiper blades of any debris. Have not tried it yet but supposed to give some added life to the blades

Glad it has worked out for you. Sure has saved me some $$ on wipers.
