Three different questions:

(1) I cannot find anything useful to help me understand how/where to lubricate the wall slide.

(2) A Camping World video clearly states you can open the slide just enough to be able to utilize the bathroom. I was told the slide always had to be run all the way out, all the way in, and listen for the motors to sync before releasing the button.

(3) I love the rig, but find it hard to believe there shouldn't be a jack stand under the slide when it's open. The amount of tilt caused by opening the slide can be lessened by using blocks under wheels, but is this the best answer?

Congratulations and welcome to the site.

1) For a while Lippert recommended lubricating the slide (there even is a

youtube video

about it). Then lately we've heard not to lubricate it. Take that as you will.

2) Yes it is a good idea to only run the slide all the way until it stops and hold the switch down an extra few seconds (also do this when retracting) this allows the motors to stay timed. Having said that, our drop down bunk also uses the Schwintek mechanism and, when camping, we don't raise it all the way during the day but still re-sync at the bottom and have not had any issues with it.

3) Yup that is the best answer, get some leveling blocks and put them under the wheels. If you really want you can have a truck shop raise the suspension slightly on the slide side.

I ignore the advice to "NOT" lubricate. After lubricating mine goes in and out so much easier and smoother, not to mention it stops the metal to metal noise that will begin if not lubricated. When it gets dry it will also start to drag and slow down as well.

A LCI tech told me run slide out at least 6” before stopping. Run it back in and hold button a couple seconds to keep it in sync.

i was originally looking at the 24FE (sprinter right?) then i decided the toilet area was too small for my giant fat ass and got a 31E with diagonal toilet lol.

even on my 31E you level first then extend the slide. the amount the rig leans is ( to me) negligible.

as whether to lubricate or not, well i was going to but i was told that when the slide is out (like, well, while camping) the lube can and will attract dirt and crap that can jam or at very best, accelerate the wear and tear on the gears. usually lube is allways a good thing but this is one of the rare times it's not.
