Vegas 24.1 fender/wheel well repair

The trim on the driver's side wheel well shook loose on our 2021 Vegas during a winter trip. Now that the weather is better I want to glue/seal it back on properly but I am not sure what kind of sealant or silicone to use to re-attach it properly.

Advice or suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I've been using Geocel products as a sealant, but your application is more adhesive than sealant. I'd suggest calling their customer service line and see what they recommend?

3M adhesives are usually high rated... a quick search turned up this:

3M Plastic Emblem and Trim Adhesive, 03601, 1 fl oz https://a.co/d/icuNCjk

Agree with ScubaWise, We also used the ProFlexRV.
Also try really hard to get a few self tapping screws into it.

It can be challenging making it so they don't show. But it will really help secure the plastic.

Vegas 24.1 fender/wheel repair

Thanks for the suggestions. I was thinking maybe to use a good two part epoxy to connect the trim and then use sealant on the outside.

I will look at the self-tapping screw suggestion but I do not recall the mating surfaces would really allow it?

Thanks again

3M Plastic Emblem & Trim adhesive. This product has been around in one form or another since the 70's. Was a staple in body shops for replacing all sorts of trim.

Good deal. I will order this since it works in & outside

Bonds fully cured automotive paints and plastic for interior and exterior applications
Strong adhesion resists environmental exposure such as water and heat
Quick-acting adhesive sets in about 15 minutes and fully cures in 24 hours
Adhesive dries clear for bonding transparent or translucent plastics
Strong-adhesive properties create a permanent bond

I had to replace my trim after a blowout with a new part. I sure do wish i could recall which adhesive I used... It was something I had on hand in the garage...Something from the hardware store. I want to say it might have been E6000 (essentially shoe-goo), but I could be wrong about that. (I probably posted about it here back in the day and you could find it searching if it's really worth it to you....
The thing I do recall was that the new trim I got form Thor was a poor fit, had to clamp and tape it like crazy to get it to conform to the necessary shape, but it worked out fine
Knock on wood it has held up for several years

I had all 4 fenders break free on my Windsport 35m. I used clear slicone sealant from Home Depot. The same stuff you use on windows and bathrooms. I also used it on the trim around the drivers and passenger windows because that broke loose as well. Its been two years now and nothing has come loose. I use it to adhere most things on the outside of vehicles. I've used it on cars and motorcycles as well, and it lasts for ever. Three years ago I used the silcone sealant to adhere LED lights underneath the RV. Its great becasue it can take the impact of road material and not damage the LED's or release them.
