5 1/2” headlight

Has anybody ever changed out a headlight on their Thor RV? I have a 2014 Thor Hurricane 34j and I am having a time finding a place that can sell me a replacement headlight for my RV. I’ve called Thor manufacturing and they had me call an RV dealer in Indiana. They tried matching the part number on the back of the headlight which is (NS-2214S) made by Sirius. They tell me it’s a 5 3/4” headlight. I have a 5 1/2” headlight. It’s unheard of. Anyway I ordered a matching pair of headlights through Ebay and they measured 5 3/4”. To big for the headlight bazel on my coach. It’s a 5 1/2” opening. Can anybody guide it the direction of a 5 1/2” replacement headlight?
Thank You in advance!
Richard

Are you trying to replace the whole housing or just the electrical light itself? According to this site you can use a H4 or a 9003 "burner".

Sirius 5-3/4" Round Headlight Bulb

I have a broken lens. The bulb is fine except it isn’t bright enough. It takes a 9007 burner.

This is from the Sirius websight. If you look at the dimensions closely in MM they are 143mm which is 5.629" close to the 5.5" you are getting. To be sure of the actual dimension I presume you are using a micrometer? Also note in the dwg the housing is slightly bigger than the actual lense, that could accout for the 5.5"

If its a 2014, its only three or four years old. Thor should be able to supply you with any part for a unit that age. I would work through Thor.

5 1/2” headlight

Thank you Yvonne, I seen the Sirius made headlight online. That’s the exact fit. But there is no information on how to order it. My main question for this forum is where can I get one of these headlight housing. The only information I can get is in Taiwan. Their feedback was contact your dealer. So I’m SOL.

This company lists the Sirius NS-2214S for sale however they list a bulb that doesn't conform to Sirius specs on their site. Might be wis to call them and get some answers.

I would be tempted to search around and see if you could find a complete LED replacement instead.

I know that you also tried Thor;it might be worth tickling their phone number again, and INSISTING that they provide you with the part numbers. It would be easy for your dealer to then order it...

Why wouldn't they use the same lamp and assembly throughout their class A models. It seems that they'd only need to change the trim. But then too, I assumed mfrs has to keep replacement parts for some given number of years.

I can't believe Thor has no idea what they put in a four year old coach!!!!!!! They should be able to provide parts for 10 years if they installed it. One question, is did Thor install the headlight assemblies, or was the chassis supplied with them already in. If so, you need to know who or what company installed them. Again Thor would be your information source.
