Above The Shower Stall
in my ACE 30.2 is a strip of wall board, I’m guessing roughly 6-8 inches wide between the ceiling and the top of the shower stall, that gets really wet when I take a shower (one of the unfortunate side effects of being 6’5”). I’m assuming that Thor just used regular wall board here, with no type of water resistant backing like you’d find in sticks and bricks bathrooms. That being said, I was wondering if any of you wonderful folks have covered this area with anything to prevent it from getting wet? And if so, what did you use? I’ve already noticed the paper covering on the board beginning to slightly wrinkle and bubble. Not very noticeable right now, but I’d like to get ahead of it before any major problems begin. Thanks everyone!!

That spot definitely needs to be completely dried-out, and fully sealed... quickly!
Good luck!

One could always use some waterproof paneling:

And then use a good caulk to seal between that and the existing shower liner.

i was thinking the press on tiles might work. I believe they are water proof. Made mostly as a back splash

RV showers seem to be made for people under 5"6" and 150 lbs or under

6'-3" here and can stand up full-on in mine. Not enough room to raise my arms and bathe, but I can at least stand there comfortably until the water gets cold.

Then I would have to sit on the ground...kinda weird to call it a "shower" when it's 4 feet off the ground.

True...but then everyone in the campground would sue me for the irreversible eye damage and nightmares I would cause them!

You just have to buy a portable shower stall from some place like Campmoor..
