AC condensation filling hose to dash!

Before I tear into it in the next day or 2, does anyone know how or why I have so much water in the 4" hose leading to the passenger vent? The one at chest level.
I discovered it, hopefully in time to stop a catastrophe, as the hose was so heavy that it caved in the RF wheel well liner. The liner and hose were an inch from the top of the RF tire.
When discovered, I was 200 miles from home. (Home now)
With my hand, I pushed upward long enough to release roughly a gallon of water.

Where did the condensate come out when you pushed the hose up?

There should be a sort of one-way valve down low in that vicinity. Some are a flap that allows water to exit but prevents water & dirt from entering. They can get clogged with mud & debris. Or mud wasp nests.

I have no idea, as I blindly pushed upward from the wheel well on the hose.

I'll take the dreaded 'desk' of my Axis dash off tomorrow & I'll hopefully be able to discern the problem and a solution.

Our Allegro Bus did that a few years ago on hot muggy days. Tiffen found some openings under the dash through the firewall letting hot damp air hit the ice
cold AC distribution hoses causing condensation.

Well, the problem apparently wasn't condensation after all and the hose didn't go to the passenger air vent.

The hose in question is the air intake from the grill and goes to the bottom of the large AC box behind the dash. If it is rain water, then it is 1½ months old, at least. That was the last time I drove in pouring rain. That AC box MAY leak condensation, though.

In any event, the hose had a severe 'dip' that held water. It is now wire tied just the opposite so it has a hump instead of a dip.
Maybe a mountain instead of a valley? I digress!! It should be A-OK from now on.

By the way, while I had the desk opened, I had a bit of sound deadener left from doing the doghouse, so I pieced it together and put it on top of the wood covering that big hole. Maybe a tad quieter now? We'll see.

How do you have wheel well liners on an axis?
Can you post a picture?

Cannot right now.
It's the plastic surrounding the inside of the wheel well preventing the tire area from spraying the engine, battery, and AC.

I call it a 'liner.' I suppose some would call it a 'surround'. What do you call it?

Are those home made or 'store bought'? If so, where did you get them?

My filter for those hoses is this hepa filter inside a screwed on Tupperware type box.

They are from Rugged Radio’s, they are helmet filters for off-roading or race cars. They were $27.00ea when I bought them a few months ago, I also replace the hose, bought off Amazon.

No offense, but I like dwinslow's solution better. I do not have allergies, and HEPA filters would be over kill.

Overkill would be $54 for lesser filters vs $5+ for superior filters.

What are the collective thoughts on this? This is 3", but there are 4" also--without measuring, I'm guessing right now.
I could cut a piece or tubular ductwork to attach.

That style will not fit, won’t be able to close engine cover, I did lot of research until I found the Rugged Radio’s air filters.
