Ac Condensation Runoff

Any easy mods to direct/divert AC run off from the coach? Seems it goes anywhere mostly based on final leveling. Just wondering if anyone has been successful at controlling that right off in someway.

The best direction is away from the door; I don't worry where it goes on that side. I level my coach slightly low on the left and that takes care if it. The minimal out of level has no impact on function for us.

As you said, it runs they way you are leveled. Does you rig not have rain gutters? It should run into them and drain off to one of there ends.

Yes I’m sure it has the rain gutters but seems like it sometimes drains from the middle of the awning on both side. Leveling with a slight tilt makes good sense. Still can’t seem to figure out how to keep constant moisture off the side of the rig and puddles off the ground.

I don't think you will find a practical way to divert the water. All AC's produce condensation as part of the cooling process. Diverting the water would require a rooftop collection system. If not done at the time of initial factory build, an add-on system would be difficult to do without affecting your roof integrity.

More answers:

1 - Level your rig with a tilt so the runoff goes where you want it to.
2 - Buy stick on gutters and apply them:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CJRGX5M
3 - Some people put runs of sealant on their roof to direct the runoff like gutters do on the side.

I stand corrected. 16ACE27 has a safe and easy solution.

I recently resealed my roof with lap sealant. If I had enough leftover I would have done the bead of it to redirect water - but I ran out. Gonna order more. Mine runs off right over my passenger window. :/

Piece of rope

I carry a couple of different lengths of nylon braided rope. Once I figure out which way the drip is going I lay the rope on the roof (using ladder & reach pole) to catch and redirect the runoff. It's not fool-proof but it usually works.

Lean the RV to the driver side.

No, they are rails to attach things like awnings and gutters.

No need to add down spots to the gutters

The walls of your coach are heat bonded aluminum, balsa wood, steel panel, insulation with a fiberglass out and inner sandwich. If moisture were to get inside the sandwich, de-lamination bubbles will form. The plastic (PVC) rails you see are the sealing cap for the side wall. Be very careful if you pierce them for any reason and seal the holes with something like Dicor.

Those gutters on mine do a bang-up job of diverting the runoff on the coach's passenger side.

Just those spouts you shared or do you have actual gutters on your unit. I couldn’t tell from the pictures if those were just clip on spouts or if you actually have formal gutters running the length of your coach?

The awning cover has a rain gutter built right in. The end spouts just drop the wetness away from the sides of the RV. It's a Carefree awning.
