Ac/microwave not working on shore power

Hello, I have a 2018 Thor Majestic we are using it for the first time. When we tried to plug it into shore power the AC made a loud noise and stopped working. The microwave won't work either. When we switched back to generator neither one will work either.

Welcome to the forum. I am not specifically familiar with your class C coach, but are you plugging into a 30 amp pedestal outlet in an RV park or some other power source? Using a power cord that is in good condition and appropriate for 30 amps at 120VAC? If in an RV park, have you checked the breaker on the park pedestal and the 120VAC breakers in your RV 120VAC breaker panel to see if any have tripped off? Sometimes a breaker can trip off, but look like it is still on. Turn them off and then back on. When switching to generator it can take about 30 seconds after the gen starts before the transfer switch flips to the generator 120VAC output. There is typically also a breaker located on RV generators that can trip.

So, you were running the generator and the A/C from generator power?
Then you plugged into SP?

The Automatic Transfer Switch automatically switches to SP when available.
The short break in power on the transfer cause the A/C to go into a delay cycle where it will not start the compressor for about 2 minutes, BUT the fan should run during that period.

So define "stopped working".
