Slide won't extend

I arrived home this morning after a 5-week trip. No problems during entire trip.
I deployed the automatic leveling jacks, which have to be down before I can extend the slide. Well, my slide won't extend for some reason. Ideas/suggestions?

Right rear jack not down. Retracted Jack's and re-deployed. All jacks down and slide came out. THANK YOU FOR REPLY!! Safety net. Yay.
Learning curve on this rig.

Congratulations on finding the problem!
(I get myself caught between engine on/braking brake on; and engine off protocols... )

I just developed a slide problem. the front of the slide will not extended unless helped by pushing on it. It is the Hurricane full side slide. I can hear the motor but for the life of me can't see where it is at or what the problem is. Anybody have any ideas?

Slide won't extend

I had a similar problem on my FW 24F with full slide. Factory didn’t install the slide motor retaining screw and the motor popped out of it’s mount. I could hear the motor turn but had to push on slide to get it out. Had to push on the outside to get it back in. Dealer had to fix it because slide was out of alignment. Hefty charge to Thor for a 3 cent screw they missed at assembly. Whew, it was under warranty.

Slide motor

I have a 2014 Hurricane 34J with a slide issue. I can not locate the slide motor - does anyone know where it is. I bought it two weeks ago and dealer is closed, internet owners manual doesn’t say.
Ideas?

Both Thor and Lippert have youtube channels with a ton of interesting videos (Lippert actually has two: Lippert Components and Lippert University). Thor's youtube channel.

Thank you for the videos, I will have to see if I can find the motor and see if something is binding.

Noisy Slide

I have a Thor 29.5 Class A, 2017. With the front slide is fully retracted and I am driving down the highways of America, I hear a noise in the wall behind the driver. It sounds like a cord is slapping internally ever time I brake, accelerate, or hit a bump. Irritating. Dealership fixed it once. Then it came back and now my service manager says it's an acceptable MOTORHOME NOISE. It was fixed once, albeit for 500 miles. Any suggestions would be deeply appreciated.

when we first started this new adventure I would write a check list on proper order of setting up, helps to get in the right mindset

I agree, and I like your "checklist" idea a lot!

Now: where can I put it, so that I don't forget about it?
