I will try driving with them on on our next trip and see if it helps or not and will advise all of you. Funny, I don't have a problem reading my gauges in my Nissan Rogue or Chevy Spark in the daytime, so those of you who suggested my eyes were not working are mistaken.
The small size of the dimly lit gauges are not my only gripes. I find that from my sitting position and steering wheel adjustment, the wheel actually blocks my view of the gauges.

I like the earlier suggestion of adding a heads up display and bypassing the factory gauges all together. I purchased the A8 from Amazon and it looks very promising. I haven't permanently mounted it yet, but I have plugged it in and the display looks excellent.

I'll attach some pictures after I get it all fastened in.

The first picture is how it sits on the dash and you can see the reflective film they provide. It came with a non-stick gel pad which inspired very little confidence, so I stuck it down to the dash with double-sided foam tape.

The second picture is to show how transparent the reflective film is. I would say it has roughly a 50% gray tint to it. The amount of view this obstructs is negligible on a big RV windshield, but I would think twice before I use this unit in my car.

The third picture shows a driver's eye view which will make it obvious why I want this thing. Not only are the stock gauges dark but the steering wheel totally obstructs them. (I have an ACE 29.2) The image of the HUD in this picture looks much farther away and smaller than it does in reality because of the focal length of the lens. It's actually very sharp bright and easy to make out all of the indicators and digits.Click image for larger version
