Awning not extending

Hello Comrades!

Out camping now and awning will not extend. Fuse is good.

Any ideas?

A few thoughts:
  • Are you sure you are looking at the right fuse?
  • I'd break out the voltmeter and start checking voltages
  • Start at the switch,
  • Then if I could get to the motor try that

Thanks for the reply J.

Well, I did pull the fuse. I have to assume that Thor labeled them correctly. Also, wouldn't the small led light up if the fuse is blown?

This was the first trip I decided not to take my electrical tool bag. Unbelievable...just my luck.

I have a camper set of tools that stay there all the time--including a small voltmeter.

These are some good lessons for me. I must have a set of dedicated tools just for the rig.

Thanks for the replies.

On my Vegas, had same problem. Some of the wires on the switch came loose.
Problem was that there was no slack in the wiring harness and it took a while to get enough slack to plug the wires back in. Warning, note how the existing wires attach to the switch, don't ask me why.

Thanks for this insight.

I will have to tinker with it some more...
