Ace window latches

I have a 2012 Thor Ace. I was sliding the window open recently and the complete handle/latch "bar" came off in my hands. It consists of a long, narrow metallic bar with a rubber "sleeve" that fits between the window edge and within the slotted bar. There are no screws holes or glue residue apparent. Has anyone else experienced problems with their window latches? Thanks, Ray

I had the same thing happen yesterday on my 2014 Hurricane 34F. Will be interested in any responses to your question.

This happened to 3 of my windows. I tried many times but couldn't get it back together using the rubber piece. I bought some JBweld that will work with glass and metal. Success. Be advised that after the 1st time I discovered that a little goes a long way and I said a bad word, then simply put amounts equal to a grain of rice every inch or so then put the pieces together.

Did you remove the rubber insert from the handle/bar?

Yes, removed the rubber and threw it out after MANY attempts to make it work.
