Thanks Ours only blows on high. I would like to slow it down to be a little quieter. I just ordered a digital thermostat to replace the analog one. I’ll have to explore that after I hook it up.

Ours is selectable via the thermostat, choices are: auto, high, low. Left on auto, for it to run on high there has to be a pretty big temperature variation between the thermostat setting, and the actual room temperature.

Did you have any luck getting yours to work? Ours has the switch for hi and low as well, but only seems to blow at one speed.

My 5er has options for high/low, but moving the switch doesn't seem to change the fan speed. If it does it's so slight that I can't tell any difference, but DW says she can tell, I'm a bit hard of hearing according to her.

There are a few threads about changing out the thermostat. The easiest is the pricey Coleman Mach digital t-stat but it's a wire for wire swap. (User DenverTransplant said it can't be read in the dark, see his post in the link below) There is a fan only setting and high/low. But your existing t-stat should have high and low speeds. Check to make sure the the wires are tight.

Here are a couple links:

Added wiring diagram

Here's a link to a good wiring diagram for the change out.

just one more

This is the last, I mean it.
The guy that made the video updated his t-stat again to a Honeywell, ~$40. It's fully auto between Heating and Cooling and has a full time backlight. He also covers the High/Low toggle switch.
