On the end vents I sprayed expanding foam. Once it dries you can shape it. Use rags to test it first. Plug the ends just past the vents. Front and back vents. You'll likely find that most of the air was blowing right past the vents. With it plugged I get a lot more air out the vents.

I also took off the inside AC cover and found the divider was loose. Also found the air diverter that sends air back to the bedroom on the driver's side wasn't properly installed. I had a lot of wasted AC going nowhere. I used some AC Duct tape and covered every space inside that same cover. It also helped reduce a lot of noise. There was air blowing across all sorts of surfaces.
This sounds like it is a distinct possibility. I'll give it a look.
Brian

Interesting thread on A/C from back in 2017. Also there are threads on the installation of a circular vent in the AC cover which directs air directly where you want it from the outflow. That is wha I did and it helped tremendously..

Control Board is separate

I had one of my roof units quit cooling. The fan would run but no cooling. I thought the unit was shot since my rig was 13 years old at the time. Camping World and Campers Inn will not tell you that there is a control board that can go bad. It sits up inside the unit above the ceiling cover. If it goes bad, you can replace it for about $90 instead of $900 for a new A/C. My dad always told me to try the cheap stuff first. The thermostat wires and the 120VAC wires all connect to this control board.

My neighbor did the same thing with mine. Also a qualified air conditioning repairman. No problem since.
Used a piercing valve on mine.

I did. Climbed up and checked the coils and checked the filter inside the rig. All clean.

When i was installing my new AC silencer covers, i also found the divider had fallen over between the AC outlet and inlet, which just allowed the cold air to be recirculated back into the AC.
I screwed the divider in place and used aluminum duct tape to seal up all the gaps. Now it's not only quiet, but works great!
