No 110 to air conditioner

I do not have 110 volts to Air conditioner, I switched breaker off and back on, no change. I will replace breaker, it is a 30/20 , 30/side is main breaker, 20/ side is the air conditioner.

If new breaker is not the fix, how do you trace the trouble in the wiring?

A/C won't run

Before you go buy a new A/C unit, there is a control board that the 120 AC wiring and thermostat wiring connect to. If the board is bad, it won't run. A new A/C unit is $900 +. The control board is $100. I had a new unit installed and it wouldn't run because the board was bad and Campers Inn just grinned at me.

If you are reading 120 vac on the breaker, at the point where the black wire connects, the breaker is passing voltage and there is probably nothing wrong with it.

When that cable leave the breaker panel, it should go directly to the A/C unit control box. It has no reason to connect to anything else in between. Before you decide that you don't have power to that box, be sure you are reading hot (black) to neutral (white) at the breaker panel and hot to neutral at the A/C controller. Don't cheat by touching one of your multimeter probes to frame ground. If you have power at one end, but not at the other end, you have a faulty cable, but that is very unlikely.

I got the A/C up and running with a new thermostat. On cool setting low fan, it cools pretty good, but if I flip it up to high fan, the compressor doesn't run, fan runs high, but not cool air?

Something isn't right. The fan speed switch should be completely independent of the compressor ON circuit. What thermostat did you get?

Thanks to all who responded to my A/C issue

New thermostat and a couple capacitors, and we are on the way. Also a thanks to RV Products, Airxel tech people, who help with a wiring issue.
