Air conditioner won't turn on

Thor freedom elite 26he 2017
The air conditioner won't turn on. Have checked fuses and breaker unless there is a hidden one we don't know about. Everything else works.

Thermostat needs 12v to operate. Just for fun, try your heater. If it will not work, then there is a problem with the thermostat. Also the thermostat has a small glass type fuse mounted on the circuit board. You can pop the cover and look at the fuse.

Thanks,
We found that fuse and it looked ok. Also the heater doesnt work either. Would this mean we need a new thermostat and that would solve our problem?(hopefully)

It could mean you don't have 12 VDC going to the furnance which supplies it to the thermostat for control power. Check your fuses on your power distribution panel. verify you have 12 VDC on your house DC buss (do the interior lights work? Do the fridge and water heater work? They also require 12 VDC control power from the DC buss. I'd buy a voltmeter and verify 12 VDC coming to the thermostat before I went out and bought a new thermostat.

Also, the post above your last reminded me that 12v does go to the heater first then on to the thermostat. If you remove the outside panel at the heater you will find a small reset button. Press it and try everything to see if it now will work.

Is your control panel a Firefly Panel by any chance?

If it is, you may want to look at this post.....

I realize this is a couple of months old, but I’m having the same problem. I have two panels in the vicinity of the heater. One has a “HOT” warning on it and the other is opened by turning two plastic latches.

Inside one of them there’s a switch that can be set to off or reset. It didn’t help. I couldn’t find any switch behind the other panel. Could you pls be more specific where to find the switch?

Thanks!

Pete

The panel to remove is screwed on and the exhaust from the heater passes through it. Inside you will find the reset button.

AC not working

I check all fuses with no response
I then went outside and unplug the camper from 50 amp
I then went inside started the generator and the AC
Came on
I then reattached to power and it’s working fine
