Alignment on Thor axis / Vegas

FYI was having a lot of problems with my Thor axis pulling to the right and generally a white-knuckle ride after seeing a YouTube video on someone who is having the same problem who took his to Westar in Anderson South Carolina I decided to do the same about two hour drive from my home whatever they did to it I'm no genius on this but it's as much difference as night and day highly recommend them really cannot say enough about how well it drives now these people truly know what they're doing if you're in the area or close by is worth the ride if you're having problems

The recommendation to get an alignment are all over the forums here: It should be the first "mod" anyone does to an Axis/Vegas unit.

Our unit even came with at least two stickers advising an alignment (in addition to our sales person instructing us to get one).

How does your alignment person know what the proper alignment is? Where do they get the specs from?

Based on what the chassis is: Ford E-350 or E-450. Its in the Ford specs.

Assuming you've checked tire pressures. If one side is low, front, rear or both, could cause your unit to run toward the low side. Just FYI, we bought out '17 Axis last Aug. It's built on the Ford E450 chassis. Have nearly 4k miles on it now and have never had it aligned (yet)..It handles well and runs straight. I did add a TPMS and keep close watch on my tire pressures.

According to the advisory from Thor, you should have it aligned once it is fully loaded. So if you are a full timer, you should be settled in before getting it aligned.

You were extremely lucky there Chief. Ours pulled to the right when we took it out for a test drive. Complained again during the PDI and the technician claimed that the tire pressure was low on the front right. Still pulled to the right. Our local truck and RV service center had to add casters to get the alignment correct and it drives great after that was done. It would just be nice if it was clearly told to the prospective buyers that this will be necessary and will be another expense.

To be fair, it is in the manual.

It is a bit late at this point in our ownership to worry about what I went through two years ago, just need to repeat this for the perspective buyers. Who reads the owner manual before you buy it? I have our suspension about as modified as I care to spend at this point and it drives great. Thought about LiquidSprings on the rear until I was quoted a price of $12,500 for the job.

Just went on trip from Las Vegas, NV to Panama City, Fl. Started with 6 seventy per cent tread tires. Interstate highways so "holey" had to replace 2 steer tires and get aligned before starting back home.

Mine as well, Added sumos and it handles perfectly. I watch tires for wear, and rotate.

That is a bit of a stretch calling the vehicle as delivered unsafe: The chassis is aligned at least once at the Ford plant. I doubt that would hold up in court.

Wouldn't say I would have went to court I'm saying that if Camping World had advised me that it needed an alignment it would have been aligned before I would have accepted it
