I walked out in the back yard this morning and just looked at ours, which still has the cover on... I think I tweaked my lower back...

I do most of my maintenance on a monthly basis. Keeps my workload at a more pleasing level. Last weekend was the plumbing's turn to get babied. I did the underside of the coach last month. Sometimes it bothers me that I enjoy the labor of love that is a motor home.

Backed the Tuscany out of the shop and was going to inspect the roof. Rain was forecast for the evening, and it started about 8 hours early.

Turned into be a blizzard warning with the Interstate closed West of us. Did get a couple inches of needed rain here in the midwest.

Started on the inside projects instead

Air filter is all I need this time and it is a chore for darn sure. Oil and fuel filters are good for another year.

Checked tires and holding steady on 110 psig

Mine are 2015 and they are getting weak

Grid heater pulls hard

I love AGM for house, however sealed from Freightliner are going back given the "easier" usage

Makes a good battery tester for sure

AGM prices have gone up more than FLA recently or at least in this area

If I get 5 years or more on the FLA again that is good enough for me

I have never had a cable off in the Chassis battery compartment which has been very nice. No corrosion either so the sealed batteries stayed that way

just went up and got 2 exactly like i had in there from same auto parts place 292.25 out the door.
last ones installed in 2016, so i think i got my $$ worth
they were actually only 45 more than in 2016

the blue ones in the pic are Full river AGM house batteries, yes they are 12v deep cycles. they were installed also in late 2016. got a great deal on them 1/2 price. a guy had ordered hundreds of them for an electric vehicle project and he went belly up. so the distributor had them sitting in the tax free zone at dfw airport. i purchased them at full price as they were new. about an hr after i paid online, the owner of the distribution company called me and gave me 1/2 money back because they had been sitting for 6 months in the warehouse. i picked them up (3hrs away) put them on charge and never looked back.
they wont run the coach for days , but will allow us to stay powered up about 15 hrs for 12v and inverter power.
