Anyone Without One or More Problems With Their Thor?

I have owned five RVs since the mid 90's and there never was a time over the twenty plus years when one of more components weren't faulty and in need of replacement or repair. I wonder if there is anyone on the forum who, at this time, doesn't have a problem with their Thor product?

After the first several months of fixing, repairing, Warranty headaches and long letters written this Camping Season has been uneventful (other than the windshield chip last month...fixed now).

Knock on wood!!!!!

We have just completed 2 lengthy trips in the last 2 months...
Happy to say we LOVE OUR AXIS...aside from the well-documented electrical problem we had upon delivery (which was no fault of Thor)..we have had no problems...
We have a broken windshield due to 'block of wood meets windshield' and
a slight transmission adjustment (Ford) after our recent trip...
But, no complaints.
We have had 2 other motorhomes and one toy hauler ...
Our Dorado had electric steps (hate those things) and that is the only issue we have had previously.
Over the last 20 yrs of camping I think we have been very fortunate with equipment.

Had to replace hydraulic pump for leveling jacks. Good thing for extended warranties. Also had a loose driver's side windshield wiper. Had to replace all bottom compartment hinges due to original rivets failing. This was not covered by extended warranty. Some other minor issues. Craftsmanship and Quality Control has plenty of room for improvement.

We are on our second trip this season of a round trip of 1400 miles. No real issues.
I had to stop to fix a previously fixed squeak. The kitchen tv latch is metal on metal so I had to stop and put some foam tape on the latch to stop the squeak.

That is the only thing so far.

2016.5 Outlaw 38RE - in for warranty work at two RV shops and Ford dealer since 16 Feb 2016 -

1st service was for leaking shower, uneven slide that ripped flooring and very obnoxious metal-rattling sound from the furnace while it was running -

Went to take it for a trip after that repair when driver's side rear slide quit, I discovered that the refrigerator was not secured and found shower still leaking; also discovered electrical issue that effected brake lights, clearance lights and brake boost pump as well as a terrible rattling sound coming from the forward slide while driving -

Back to another RV facility - they repaired the shower and re-installed the fridge but suggested I take coach to FORD dealer for electrical issues -

FORD dealer found 4 separate grounds resulting from screws being "shot" through wiring during the coaches construction -

Now is back at the RV shop for the slide repair -

I have had to cancel my vacation which I rescheduled - the 2nd one was cancelled and rescheduled and cancelled a 3rd time. I have something scheduled for the week of 25 August; right now it looks like I'll have to cancel that now too since it looks like THOR will not get the parts shipped in time to get the repairs done -

I am not a happy camper right now -

Smile

Our 2016 Thor Hurricane 35C now has 7,000 trouble free miles on it. Two initial problems, although not Thor's fault, with a bad inverter and a defective valve in the rear holding tank. Thor took care of both under warranty. Very pleased with the quality of our first MH.
