Arm rests

I have a 2019 Challenger and would like to adjust the arm rests. I assume they are Flexsteel but find no marking to verify that. I have unzipped covers without finding any clues to adjust. Have not found anything on you tube to help. Does anyone have any experience with the armrest on a Challenger or any other Thor MH.

As far as I know, they are not adjustable.

That’s sad but that was my thought before I tried the forum. Thanks for inputs.

Are you trying to move them vertically? You could try changing the thickness of the padding...

Currently one side comes down until it is touching the seat. The other side is about 2 inches above seat which is comfortable. I could play with padding but it actually pretty tight in their and the foam padding is shape to the cover. Do you think Flexsteel is the mfg?

There is either something broken with that arm or it is incorrectly installed. Remove it from the seat and inspect the stops on the axle, compare to the other side.
I believe these were Flexsteel seats, but OEM entry level.

I’ve been thru this exercise
The steel arms have a welded pin in them
There’s a specific arm built for each right and left
In the manufacturing process, there are inconsistencies

Here are your options after you remove arm from seat back:
1) once you understand the mechanics of the arm, place a “shim” between the pin and the point where the pin rests when on the down position. I did this by using a metal piece fastened with JB Weld inside the seat back. It’s held perfectly for over 2yrs
2) take steel rod out of the padding. Grind off the pin, then drill hole in arm &
weld a new pin in the proper location on the arm

The area where the pin rests inside the seat back is very difficult to access
Once you understand the mechanism, you can then proceed with your desired fix

By the way...use the SEARCH function as this topic has been previously discussed

I do not know about the Challenger seats specifically, but on our seats, on the underside of the arm rests there is an opening in the cover just big enough to put your finger in. Inside is a toothed wheel that you can turn that adjusts the angle of the arm rest. Good luck with yours.

We have a Thor aria and the adjustment is in the opening on underside of arm it’s a small round wheel like object. Just turn it

Must have the cheap seats - no adjustment mechanism. Thanks for all responses.

Our 2019 Thor Aria has a slit cut under the arms of each chair and there's a little wheel to turn that adjusts the height.
