Atwood (Dometic) AFMD Furnace Issues

My AFMD 30 furnace in my 2016 Axis stopped working and I took it into repair. Even though it was within the 24 month warrantee, Dometic (new owner of Atwood) refused to honor the warrantee. The first issue, the electronic board shorted out because water got on it. This has happened to numerous Atwood furnaces because of the design and Atwood put out a kit to change the location of the board but would not fix already purchased units. The second issue was water somehow got inside the exhaust pipe or inside the unit piping and rusted out the burner head. Even after replacing the board and burner head, the unit still backfired indicating rust or constricting n in the internal pipes. I bit th3 bullet and brought a new unit. I might be worth your while to take off the cover to the furnace and make sure there is no corrosion on the board or water stains on the unit.

Atwood AFMD parts for sale

I now have all the parts for an Atwood AFMD furnace, if anyone needs them including a new board, new valve burner head and fully functioning blower motor and system. The whole furnace does work, but it is still backfiring - see above. It certainly is repairable and the expensive parts are new or as good as new. I will sell the whole unit for $250 (new cost over $500 on Amazon) or I will sell parts if anyone wants them. Just send me a message.
