Smile Freedom Elite Awning Light Replacement

Hi,

I'm guessing the answer to my question is "it depends", but I'll ask anyway. And sorry if this has already been asked and answered. I've searched through a lot of the threads.

I have a 2015 Freedom Elite 22e and the majority of the awning lights have burned out. Can I just purchase a replacement string of lights and put them into the existing mounting channel or do I need to replace the existing mounting channel and install a new one with the lights? This would have been the original mounting channel and lights that came with the RV.

Thanks,
Mark

ps - I really am enjoying the Thor Forums. Great stuff!

I think you should be able to. You may need to change the connector from the strip to the 12v wire. Although they may be universal, i would buy one that matches the new strip and replace it on the 12v wire.
