Awning came apart

My awning has seem to come apart where it attaches to the side of the RV. The Awning is sewed at the bead that goes into the track and it appears that the sewing has come apart causing the awning to give away from the bead. I will call the manufacture today to see if there is still a warrantee. Its not ripped and would only need to be re sewed but that would involve removing the awning fabric to do that. The new replacement awnings are heat sealed to prevent threads from coming apart like mine did.
Checked out you tube video and it seems like replacement is pretty easy with a few people.

What did you determine with this issue? Ours is doing the exact same thing. On the end where they attach the LED light strip. It is almost like the additional weight of the light strip adds to the pressure at that point, even though I know most of those don't weigh much. The one's that are encased to be waterproof have a little more "weight" to them.

I called Carefree the manufacture of the awning to see if it was under waranty but it wasn't (1yr). They quoted me a price of a new awning 349.00 plus 49 shipping. All kinds of utube videos on how to replace, dosent look hard but you need like 4 people to help you. Or you can pay someone to replace it.

Were you able to do a temp fix or did you end up replacing yours? I only noticed ours because it was making a strange popping noise when I opened it so I went out to look at it and did the typical, "well that's just great" statement. hehe I was going to get on a ladder to check it out but haven't yet but it reminds me of when you open a big bag of dog food by pulling the thread out of the top piece. Ours wouldn't be under warranty either as it is a 2018.
