Awning drooping on one side

2016 Thor Hurricane 29M.

My awning is dropping a bit on one side when extended.

Can this be adjusted somehow?

Just go to the Carefree of Colorado amd look up the Latitude patio awning and down load the operator's manual or look it up in your Thor information packet. <https://www.carefreeofcolorado.com/products/latitude.html> See page #5

Actually you may want a bit of a droop as it helps control run off to a particular area rather than the entire front. There was a thread a while back that explained how to adjust it to droop slightly.

Define "drooping"? Is the roller tube not level or is the fabric hanging low when the roller tube is otherwise level?

If the roller tube is angled then the above two posts have you covered. If the fabric is hanging low that may require a service visit.

You could adjust that out. In my opinion I would leave it exactly like that to help keep water from pooling and to get more to run off away from your door. I adjusted mine to look pretty much just like yours.

The awning tilt looks fine to me. You should check the screws to make sure they stay tight at least once/year.

True that the droop could be useful for runoff, my main concern was what caused it to droop all of a sudden.

Thanks for the reference to the manual, I will check there on how to adjust/make sure all is tight going forward.

Campground is Emma Wood State Beach in Ventura, CA.

You can also check the bolts that hold it horizontally to the wall towards the rear. I had that problem with this type awning on a Lance truck camper. Bolts worked loose, bar pulled away at the top (unnoticed) and it leaned a bit as well as started leaking inside. It took a soggy wallpaper experience to find it. One of those areas I never looked up at until it was too late.
