Awning extra slot

How do I remove the end cap on the awning to access extra slot for sun blocker ?

My ACE is now winterized with all batteries removed so I can't look at the electric awning to see if the roller tube slot is open at either end, but I have included a u-tube hyperlink which shows an easy sun shade style install onto an electric awning roller tube if that helps. Failing that, I would check your awning manual for any tube end removal procedure.....or call the awning manufacturer for specific details.

pretty sure my awning tube has a cap that's riveted on. Would have to drill out the rivets.

Hi, well maybe someone with a 2017 ACE (I think this is your year?) can suggest the best way to access the awning roller tube slot on your coach.
