Awning light won't turn on.

So you would know it, we are in the middle of a long trip and our awning light suddenly stopped working. We have the firefly system so there isn't a switch. I had read others say to check the fuse behind it. Anyway, any other things to check? All the fuses appear OK in the standard fuse box.

Try resetting the Firefly by killing 12v to it for 60 seconds. That may work, hopefully. It could also be a bad wire near the light strip. But I had that issue with my aisle lights, and eventually found that a module in my Firefly panel was bad. I had to replace it, which was easy, but was $90 delivered from Firefly.

Thanks, I will give the power trick a try. How did you figure out the module was bad? Did you call firefly?

Yes I did, and they were very helpful on the phone.

So this was an odd one. Somehow, either our awning shifted or the light shifted or both. The light was disconnected at the top but it wouldn't reach the power cable. I ended up removing the light completely and reinstalling it once connected. Super strange but an easy fix nonetheless.
