2016 windsport Steps

Good Day ,
My class A steps goes in when the door switch is in the off position and door is closed but when i start the unit to drive away the steps comes out. I had to disconnect the power supply before i start my unit, so the steps would stay in while i am driving.
Any recommendations?

You didn't say what brand steps they are, but if Kwikee, they are supposed to retract when the key is turned on. Since yours do the opposite, and they work properly otherwise, I'd say your controller is bad. I would suggest that you follow the troubleshooting procedures for Kwikee steps found HERE.
