Question awning switch

Hi

Our awning switch is not getting power. Batteries are fully charged and new fuse has been installed. Is there a separate controller box for the awning like there are for the slides?

i believe the awing gets its power from the d/c panel, and you said you checked the fuse. from the dc/c panel the hot wire should go directly to the switch. check if either wire on the switch has 12vdc on it.

The patio awning's "smart sense" controller is on the forward end of the awning roll. In my coach, the awning is "hot wired" from LCIs Rapid Camp module to the controller. The Rapid Camp module is wired directly to the 12 volt section of the power center under the bed.

It is a movement sensor. Located in the front end of the patio awning. It is really wind caused movement sensor. Generally Thor MC assembly plants wire the coach so that power is always on to the control module. When the awning's up and down movement exceeds the factory set threshold, the awning retracts automatically. You can check it. With the patio awning completely deployed, wrap the plastic cover with a pole twice in rapid succession (I use my coach's long handle wash brush) and the awning will retract. Carefree of Colorado has an excellent operator's manual and sells all parts to repair it, directly or on Amazon.

awning switch

Thanks, all, for the suggestions.

As it turns out, there was a loose connection behind the fuse box. Visually, it could not be seen. A friend checked each wire just in case and found one not on all the way. Everything works fine now. I never would have thought to look behind the fuse box
