Contact cleaner

Can anyone recommend a good contact cleaner? My 7 pin plug from the trailer to the truck sometimes loses contact. I would like to clean it.

WD-40 and a Q-tip or toothpick. Paint thinner & Compressed air. Take your pick.

After you clean it use some spray corrosion inhibitor to prevent future occurrences.

I always use dielectric grease on any trailer plugs and all boat/Jet ski trailers (light bulb contacts).

I agree. Dielectric grease is the best to use on connectors.

WD-40...I always spray in into the connector, shake it out and they always work. Slide the connector in and out of the socket two or three times to clean the contacts...put the can BACK IN THE RV!
