Question Axxera radio in 2018 Thor Windsport

Hello,

We just purchased a new RV yesterday. 2018 Thor Windsport 34P. We notice the radio/ cameras etc. do not come on unless we are either plugged into shore power or have the generator running. Has anyone experienced this and how do we fix it?

Thanks!

Turn your USE/STORE switch to USE (MAIN power ON, Battery disconnect SHUT).

If that doesn't work, check your house battery status.

Where are those buttons? Brand new rig. Don’t know where things are yet.

It's a single switch, different names on different coaches, generally close to floor level above the steps either to the left or right as you enter.

How do you know that?

Is there an indicator light? That is NOT an indication of the status of that switch. Unplug from SP and see if that light is still on. If so - your batteries are connected to and powering the DC buss. If not, your batteries are NOT connected to the DC buss.

Your house batteries would be the next thing to check. If they are flooded lead acid batteries, they might need to be replaced since your coach is a 2018 unless the previous owner had already changed them out before you bought it. Do your interior lights work when not on shore power or generator?

You were right. Once we got home, with everything off, flipped the switch. All works now!

That's your battery disconnect switch. It typically should be left connected (ON position) any time you are using the coach... including driving. It's usually only turned OFF to disconnect the batteries while in storage, or extended period of sitting idle.

If you have any solar panels on the roof, it should keep your batteries topped off even with the switch in OFF position.
