Slide problems

I have a 2015 Thor ACE 27.1. The slide works fine but when on the road it will creep out 1-3 inches ( it might go farther but we check it every hour or two.) I’ve tried holding the button 10 seconds supposedly but we still stop to check it regularly and retract it in, is there a lock or something to keep it in place?

When I bought my ACE in 2012 the Dealer included a slide safety lock rod which basically goes between the exterior wall and the inside solid valence portion of the slide. It is basically two flat pads on either end with an adjustable threaded rod connected between them. You adjust the rod so the pads extend to prevent the slide from migrating out if the motors fail to hold them in position. You might inquire with Schwintec why the motors are not holding position. Others on this forum may already know why and can chime in.

By the way, if you buy a slide lock rod device......make sure you remove it before trying to put the slide out......or you will have a large costly repair ahead of you. Put a reminder label beside the slide switch for example.
