Battery cable grounding for Thor Chateau

For the 2013 Thor Chateau 24C, what is the house battery cable grounding? Is it a positive ground or negative ground arrangement?

On my coach, there is a longer, black, cable that appears to come from the interior (converter) area and a shorter, red, cable that is attached to the chassis.

The longer, black, cable is attached to the Negative battery terminal. The shorter, red, cable is attached to the Positive battery terminal. As connected the outdoor light will light.

Is this the correct cable to battery terminal connection?

I seriously doubt you have a positive ground. Something does not sound right.

the drawings I have for my '13 model 31L show a black negative, but they are of little help in determining where the wires go.

Here's a photo of the battery in mine..... but I can't remember for sure if this is the dead one they tried to sell me or the new one I received under warranty after I proved that it was dead....

House Battery Cable Ground

Thanks for the photo. While the access area does not allow viewing of the complete cable routing, it does appear the shorter cable from the chassis is connected to the NEG battery terminal.

This seems to be the correct connection arrangement.

Is the chassis connecting area the battery isolator?
