Battery Charging A30

I have a 2019 Thor Freedom Traveler A30 my engine battery keeps going flat...I have it in storage connected to storage 115 outlet shouldnt the batteries stay charged since it is connected to the power in my storage area where it is parked??? Where is the power inverter located in the A30 so I can check on that to make sure nothing has been tripped that I need to turn back on ??

First - an INVERTER takes 12 VDC and changes it to 120 VAC for TVs, outlets, etc. It does NOT charge the batteries unless it is a high end combination Inverter/Charger.

Your MH has a CONVERTER that takes 120 VAC and converts it to 12 VDC to run DC loads like lights and water pump and charge the house batteries.

The house batteries will only be charged by the converter if plugged into SP or running the generator IF the house battery disconnect (USE/STORE switch) is closed (On/USE). If the house batteries are being charged, when the voltage gets high enough, the Battery Isolation Manager (BIM) will connect the chassis battery and allow it to charge as well(Some motorhomes use a BIRD/Trombetta relay configuration).

I do not know if your coach has a BIRD or a BIM but Thor has been known to wire the BIM incorrectly preventing chassis battery charging. A search of the forum should return plenty of info on that.

Thank you for your quick reply, im not a person who understands the workings of an electrical component other than house current runs in a loop.....I can test and charge a battery, and I can wire in a light switch.....I also understand how to test voltage on a battery, I seem to remember seeing something that resembles that bim device in the household battery compartment on the passenger side of the rv I will check to see if possibly the breaker has been tripped for some unknown reason.... Thanks again
