Rippling Flooring

The flooring on our 2018 Thor Chateau 24f is rippling in several places like it was never stretched and glued down. I know I need to bring it in for repair but I was wondering if others have had this problem and if it was repaired to their satisfaction?

Is there any way that you can post a pic of it?

I found that the vinyl flooring is not glued down in any way shape or form. All they do is staple it on the edges. Very easy to pull one side and stretch the flooring and staple it back down.

Just be sure it is not rippling for a bigger reason, like water damage.

I have the same thing on my 2019 23U. It doesn’t appear to be glued down at all.

Correct, not glued. Staples do make sense but they figure the cabinets and bulkheads will hold it in place. And you'd be hard pressed to find thinner vinyl.

Cheap vinyl flooring...

Now I know why I keep looking at the Phoenix Cruisers: they offer the option of either Hickory, or Cherry wood floors.

With the stuff that you'd probably be tracking in on it: you'd need to carry a vacuum cleaner!
(At least this is what my Missus is telling me!)

I cannot find any water leaks and am not sure how to get to the ends, The way it is rippling I would have to either remove the cabinets and the bed or see if I can get to it under the slide

Took mine in to CW and the lump on the floor was on the punch list. They had the unit all day. When I stopped in to pick it up the floor wasn't touched.

They Said they used an outside flooring contractor that was excellent but unreliable.

I said I'll leave the unit then, no plans to use it.

They said I can't leave it , they didn't have the room.

I said give me a date when I can bring it back.

They said don't know, flooring guy is unreliable......

So home I go and four hours of my time I fixed it. Guess that was CW wanted all along.

We have a 2020 24f with same issue. Dealer said they don't glue them because of expansion and contraction with seasonal temp changes. So basically they claim it's normal to have ripples, but I think it looks like crap! I would like to re-stretch/staple ours... have you done anything yet? Any advice on how to go about this?

We spend so little time inside that we don’t notice it. A couple spots are bubbled but doesn’t hurt anything.

Horse Hockey.

We had vinyl flooring in the Challenger and over the course of 5 years we never had any rippling of the vinyl flooring even with extreme temperature changes.

Vinyl flooring in the Accolade is going on 2 years with no rippling.

Find a reputable service center that isn't lazy and is willing to fix the problem.

We have been fighting this issue too. Our 2019 Quantum had ripples in front of the fridge when we bought it new. We took it in for warranty, they said we had to take it to a place that could hyper extend the slide out. We took it to a place that could do it, they said it was fixed and when we went to get it it wasn’t fixed. They said Thor only approved 3 hours for the repair but they would make it work out. They called and asked if we would be OK if they cut the floor at the bathroom and put in a seem. We OKed it and later picked it up. The ripples are gone however we have a seem with molding over it (doesn’t look bad) but also have a long axial cut in the floor which now fish mouths. It has been glued down a few times to no avail.
Turns out the sub flooring is mushy and glue won’t stick to it.
Given our experience, I recommend throwing a rug over the rippled area and to not torture yourself.
