Question Hot water please

Hi, I am Willi from Tampa FL. We purchased a used 2019 Thor freedom elite right before COVID There are no user manuals in here and we are in upstate NY. We are now at a campground with no showers and we do not know how to get hot water. We are in our 70s, so it’s possible we were told and forgot. The only thing I remember is we have a tankless water heater and the guy said it would heat as we need it but the water isn’t getting hot. Please someone help us!

Welcome to the forum!
Do you see the panel that controls the Girard hot water system?
Try raising the temperature on the panel to about 105 degrees (Maybe 107...)
You should hear it trying to kick on...
When you turn on the shower: ONLY use the hot water faucet!
See if that helps.
Good luck!

Let me add to Bob Denman's post.

Be sure you have the propane in the bottle and be sure the propane valve is on. Sometimes air gets taped in the propane line so go to your gas range and operate one of the burners for a few seconds to be sure the air is purged from your propane lines.

I want to emphasize what Bob Denman said in his instructions. Be sure you set a comfortable temperature for the hot water (like 105 - 107 degrees). Using the tankless water heater's not like taking a shower at home. If the water is too hot at home you would just add cold water until it is comfortable. DONOT DO THAT WITH HE TANKLESS WATER HEATER. If you add cold to regulate the temp you are probably going to get cold out of the shower head. Again adjust that temperature control to a comfortable temp and then ONLY use the to water valve on the shower, or sink faucets. The tankless system is going to operate ion demand and will provide hot water at the temperature you have set.

Also be sure you have good water pressure coming from the city water system. It pays to have a pressure regulator you can put-on the outside faucet and regulate the water pressure to about 55 psi.

If this is the first time using the coach, it is possible the 12V power switch is set to off in the outside unit.

There is a red power button on the inside temperature controller. If the display does not light up when you turn the temperature display on by hitting the red button, then the unit is powered off outside.

You can open the access panel on the side of the coach and you will see a white switch. make sure that is in the on position. Then try hitting the red power button again on the temperature control unit inside the coach.
