valve near water pump question

Hi all,

First time winterizing this unit and haven't winterized any RV in 10 yrs so things are a little different LOL.

I have one question in the water pump area. Probably obvious to most but I want to be sure. It comes with an "antifreeze port" already installed so I will remove the cap at the AF port and put one end of the tubing there and the other in the AF bottle. You can see a valve in the picture, it seems I would need to turn that before I start running the AF through the system, is that correct?

I think I have all the other steps and the WH bypass part figured out.

Thanks very much in advance,
Beth

Turn the valve in the off position so you dont pump your antifreeze into the fresh water holding tank. Drain the FW tank and you're good to go. Also find the hot water tank and flip the valve to isolate the hot water tank, you do not want antifreeze in the hot water tan either. Pull the drain plug in the hot water tank and drain it, I leave the plug out until spring time.

Got it. Thanks very much cpmath - I figured it keeps it from going to the FW tank but wanted to be sure.
